CHARTER OF DEMANDS

The Mumbai Taximen Sangathan will be protesting before the office of Easy & Mega Cabs for their illegal activities and exploitation of taximen and our Sangathan is giving their charter of demands in the interest of taximen at large to the management of Easy & Mega Cabs along with different Government Officials i.e. STA, RTO - Western Region, the BMC and MIDC police station. Following are our legitimate demands:
1.     To provide GPF and ESIC to all taximen.

2.     To stop the exploitation of the taximen and allow them to drive vehicle 8-10 hours only.

3.     Uniform and other facilities should be provided by the company on free of cost.

4.     The vehicle should be covered with the comprehensive insurance as per the provision of Fleet Taxi Scheme 2006.

5.     The management of Easy & Mega cabs should clear that the drivers of all the taxis are on pay roll or the partners under the PPP scheme or bounded labors.

6.     Whether the taximen is Fleet Company’s employee or slave

7.     How the taximen is fleet company’ professional partner?

8.      Why fleet companies are taking Rs. 1600/- for uniform?

9.     Why fleet company is taking Rs. 10,000/- as a security deposit?




10.                        Is it necessary to give shift to drivers if they are sick or on leave, or car is under repair?

11.                        You should stop the Fleet Taxi companies to charge Rs. 50/- & Rs. 80/- on the name of parking from the passengers at the domestic & international airports respectively.

12.                         As per Motor Vehicle Act, the permit is not saleable or leasable, then on what basis Mega & Easy cabs  are playing with  the permit holders .

13.                        As per instruction of Mr. Thakur of STA the refund and receipt of compounding fee was not given  back to the permit holders of Mega & Easy cabs.
