“Mr. Chauhan, you are failed to fulfill the commitment and not to think our Sangathan is not capable. Please let us know when we see the work on ground within next 24 hours failing which you are responsible for the outcome”.

The Managing Director,
The CSI Airport,
Terminal1-B,
Mumbai.

Ref: Our letter dated 15/03/2011

Dear Sir,

With reference to our letter dated 15/03/2011 and schedule of agitation dated 14, 15 & 16th April 2011 before MIAL.

On the above mentioned issue, Mr. Satish Chauhan had called the undersigned for the meeting.  The undersigned had visited your office with the delegates of 6-7 taximen including our Sangathan Secretary Mr. Kanhaiya Singh.

We would like to draw your attention that the meeting was concluded in a very cordial manner and Mr. Satish Chauhan assured us that he will discuss the demands of taximen with the management and should be rectified within 10 days.  We had assured to Mr. Chauhan that our Sangathan will withdraw the scheduled agitation in the interest of taximen / public at large.

We would further like to inform you that we never get any reply from Mr. Chauhan and he had given us false promises to fulfill the legitimate demands of the taximen. When the undersigned had contacted over the phone to Mr. Chauhan, he had threatened the undersigned that, we (MIAL) have contacts with police and the Bhailog and see how you get out from the airport and next time not to raise any demands otherwise you will be behind the bar because the ACP – Airport division is on our pay-roll and myself was the Dy. Commander of paramilitary force and I know how to deal with the Sangathan and Union or people like you.

Yesterday, (i.e. 25/04/2011) the undersigned had sent one SMS to Mr. Chauhan that “Mr. Chauhan, you are failed to fulfill the

commitment and not to think our Sangathan is not capable.  Please let us know when we see the work on ground   within next 24 hours failing which you are responsible for the outcome”. At about 12.40 pm the undersigned have received a phone call from Mr. Chauhan and again he had threatened that we will take care of you and your sangathan because ACP is sitting in front of me and thereafter Mr. Chauhan handed over the phone to Mr. Srinivasan.  Mr. Srinivasan was threatening that if your Sangathan is dare to raise any demands of the taximen to MIAL or send any letter or distribute any handbills/ poster or lodge any protest against MIAL in future, then you will behind the bars and you do not know about our connection.

Under the above mentioned facts and circumstances, it clear that Mr. Chauhan and Mr. Srinivasan were acting  as a dictator and want to suppress the legitimate demands of the taximen,  so that they can able to cheat the passengers / taximen  with the association of fleet taxi companies.

We would like to clear one thing that airport is not the property of MIAL.  It is the property of public and MIAL had taken only on lease   from the Airport authority of India.

We further inform you that, we are living in the democratic country and we know our duty first and then our rights.

It is pertinent to note that MIAL has taken this type of step to the intimation of Hon’ble Minister, Mr. Naseem Khan because our Sangathan had distributed the handbills against the gang of criminals and expose the link between this gang of criminals and Hon’ble Minister, Mr. Naseem Khan. Copies of both the handbills are enclosed herewith.

We inform you that if any unrest will happen at the airport due to the agitated members of our Sangathan then the sole responsible will be with the MIAL.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,
For Mumbai Taximen Sangathan
