Subject: CHARTER OF DEMANDS
Respected Sir,
We would like to inform you that today our Mumbai Taximen Sangathan will be protesting  before your office against the high hardiness  & illegal acts of your respective RTO’s and other officials.  Following are our legitimate demands:
1.     You should direct the concerned RTO’s to issue the duplicate permit to the permit holders who had given their permits to Mumbai Gold Cabs & Smart Cabs within 7 days.

2.     You should direct the concerned RTO’s to renew the permit of the permit holders who had paid the compounding fee before 31.3.2010 within one week.

3.     You should take immediate necessary criminal and departmental action against the Secretary of STA and earlier Deputy RTO – Mr. Sanjay Sassane who has involved issuing the LOI to the Smart Cabs on the forge documents and without fulfill the mandatory condition of the Fleet Taxi Scheme 2006.

4.     You should stop the Fleet Taxi companies to charge Rs. 50/- & Rs. 80/- on the name of parking from the passengers at the domestic & international airports respectively.

5.     You should make the approval under the Fleet Taxi Scheme to safeguard the interest of permit holders / taximen.
6.     You should ensure that all the Fleet Taxi companies should have comprehensive insurance for their vehicles as per the condition of the fleet taxi scheme. It is pertinent to note that all Fleet Taxi company has only third party insurance.

7.     You should ensure that the respective RTO’s would mention the loan amount with the rate of interest at the time of hypothecation of the vehicle so that no one can exploit the taximen.

8.     You should ensure that the taximen will get the service from their RTOs on one single window or to establish separate RTO for the auto rickshaw & taxi.

9.     The record of the taxi permits and the taxis should be computerized within 3 months.  If the transport commissioner’s office requires any help from the Sangathan then we are ready to do the same at any time.

10.                        You should not spread the rumor about the sale of 4000 permits under the Phone Fleet Taxi scheme 2010 because the Hon’ble High Court has already given a stay order in this matter and the matter is sub-judice

11.                        You should renew either the dead permits or issue permits to the taxi drivers who are holding taxi badge & licence.
We request you to kindly look into the above matter without any further delay.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
For Mumbai Taximens Sangathan

Kanhaiya Singh
Secretary
