Subject: Non-action by your
office against the illegal elections of Mr. A.L. Quodros for holding two
positions of the office bearers i.e. General Secretary and the Treasurer of the
Mumbai Taximen’s Union since 1999 to 2007 and in the 2008 election of the Union
till date, he was the election officer and the contestant for the post of
General Secretary.
Sir,
We would
like to draw your attention that your office is failed to take the action
against Mr. A.L. Quodros for holding two positions of the office bearers i.e.
General Secretary and the Treasurer of the Mumbai Taximen’s Union since 1999 to
2007 and in the 2008 election of the Union till date, he was the election
officer and the contestant for the post of General Secretary.
We would
further like to draw your attention that your office is also fail to check the
returns filed by the Mumbai Taximen’s Union in which it is very much clearly
mentioned that Mr. A.L. Quodros was holding two positions of the office bearers
i.e. General Secretary and the Treasurer of the Mumbai Taximen’s Union since
1999 to 2007, which is illegal and against the law. The copies of the evidence
for the same are enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
We would
also like to draw your attention that the year 2008 annual general meeting and
election of the Union, he himself acted as the election officer and the
contestant for the post of General Secretary, which is illegal and against the
law
We further
say that in the Constitution of the Union it is very much clear that the annual
general meeting shall be held not later than July of every year but Mr. Quodros
I had held the meeting his own whim and wish and meeting was held in the month
of October.
Under the
above mentioned facts and circumstances and the material of record established
that the election of the General Secretary Mr. A.L. Quodros are illegal and
against the law and also your office is failed to take any action against the
Mr. A.L. Quodros willfully and deliberately.
Hence we
request you to please take immediately necessary action against Mr. A.L.
Quodros and declare his election illegal and also declare all the amendments
null and void during that period/tenure and also take action against the
Deputy/Assistant Registrar who are responsible for the same.
