petition on security
Mumbai,
May 13 (UNI) The Mumbai Taximen's Sangathan has filed a writ petition in the
Bombay High Court, praying to furnish the guidelines about the security of
newly-built air traffic control tower following the construction of unauthorized
structure in and around the international and domestic airports.
The Sangathan General Secretary Sanjay Khemka stated in the affidavit, a copy of which is with UNI, that despite joint commissioner of police (law and order) having written a letter to Urban Development principal secretary in regard to construction of Hotel Sahara Star near airport, stating that 'it may cause a serious security concern with respect to the safety of the domestic airport', the state government gave permission to Sahara Star hotel to construct three basement and five upper floor structures.
