New policy will be implemented within 4 months
Information by Transport Minister regarding Rickshaw and Taxi permits re-distribution.

New policy will be implemented within 4 months regarding Auto and Taxi permit, this was said by Transport State Minister Gulabrao Devkar in the assembly.
Vinod Ghosalkar had raised a question in State regarding restriction on issuance of  Auto and Taxi permits. Abhijeet Adsul mentioned that the interference of the opposition in this matter was increasing. Abu Azami suggested that while issuing the vehicle permit the rules should be strict, or else the accidents will increase. Ravindra Vaikar said that the auto drivers are creating nuisance at the rickshaw stand. Pravin Darekar said that while re-distribution of permits, the Marathi youngsters who are unemployed should be considered. Subhash Desai question that, instead of giving permits to the individual why is importance given to the Fleet business. Mangalprabhat Lodha, Sambhajirao Pawar also asked that question. On which the reply was that Devkar declared 18, 127 Taxi and 28,206 Rickshaw permits in Mumbai as cancelled, in which keeping the Tourist in mind 4000 permits shall be given to the Phone Fleet Taxi.
