Subject: Replacement of present President Mr. George Fernandes & illegally nominated one Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) as President.

Sir,

We came to know about the replacement of present president Mr. George Fernandes from Mumbai Taximen’s Union by you to cover your illegal acts in the union since decades.

 We wish to inform you that Mr. Hussain Dalwai has no link with Taxi union or any other trade unions except recently he has become the president of Mumbai Rickshaw men union.  Now you appointed one political face forcibly and illegally without conducting general election for your own motives.

It is pertinent to note that our Taximen’s Union is no political body and now you are going to give the color of the political party presently who is in power.  We cannot understand how we can fight with the Government or Transport department for Taximen’s right because you are going to nominate one Member of Parliament from the present political party as President of our union

We came to know from the news paper that you had called the AGM on 29^th July but no agenda or any circular about the AGM has been published or circulated or the time or venue of the meeting till date.

We request you not to conduct the AGM illegally because we are going to approach the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay against all of your including your to be nominated so called president of the Mumbai Taximen’s Union.

We once again request you to please provide us the copy of the agenda which is going to discuss in the forthcoming AGM with the place and time at least minimum 7 days prior of the AGM so that we can submit our suggestions or comments in the AGM.
